Picture of riders having a picnic, horses in the background Many different challenges have to be overcome on a trail:

Riding up steep hills (unless they are too steep to ride, then the horses have to be led up the hill) and crossing rivers (preferably not too deep).

Once that is done the more pleasant part usually happens: A picnic. The picture on the left shows the luxury version with bench and table. Usually sitting on the grass has to be sufficient.

Experienced guides lead the trails, allowing the groups to enjoy the rides and the views.
