The Armin Grewe Homepage
In late July and early August 2003 it was time for another visit to Scotland. This time my mother travelled with me for most of the time; she had retired in July and I had invited her over as a kind of "retirement present". Our travels would lead us from the Isle of Islay (with an excursion to Colonsay) to the Isle of Skye. Then we would visit Loch Ness and Glen Affric before driving to Glasgow with a stop in the Cairngorms. Please find the travelogue from our holiday with further details below:

A day trip to Colonsay and Oronsay with a walk over The Strand. Great views including the view from the monument near Scalasaig on Colonsay on a day with very good weather.
If you have fast connection (or a lot of time) you can try the QuickTime VR panorama of the view from the monument (Note: 7 MB download, but it's worth it)
Back on Islay again
After the day on Colonsay and Oronsay we were back on Islay again. Visits to Bruichladdich, the Singing Sands as well as a drive around the Rhinns of Islay were our stations for the day. Unfortunately with less than perfect weather again.
